A limited license legal technician (LLLT) is an individual licensed by the State of Washington to perform limited legal services for the public. Legal technicians are not attorneys, but can provide many of the same services as attorneys, in a limited capacity. You can think of a LLLT as the legal equivalent to a Physician’s Assistants in the medical field, who can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication to patients without the supervision of a doctor. Washington State was a pioneer in developing this license that allows the practice of law by non-attorneys. Many other states have taken notice and have created, or are creating their own non-attorney legal practitioner rules.
Family Law Matters LLLT is located in Whitman County, but is licensed to practice in all counties. I can meet with you locally in Whitman County, or I can work with you remotely in whatever county you are located. Your comfort and needs are a top priority.
I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Washington State University in 1995 and after working in the Title Industry for a dozen years I decided to concentrate my energies towards raising my 5 children. Recently I have worked as a Deputy Clerk in the Superior Court System and as a Family Law Facilitator. Now, after completing my LLLT Core Curriculum at Spokane Community College and the required Family Law courses through Whatcom Community College in conjunction with the Washington State Bar Association, I am licensed to practice and ready to focus on you. With this comprehensive education and my life experience as a mother and wife, I am fully equipped to assist you with your Family Law needs with compassion, understanding, and expertise. You can reach out to me through my Contact Me page.
